BSM Smart Academy expanding Global Partnerships

BSM Smart Academy is strengthening its global presence and has recently gained new partners in Africa and Asia: Regional Maritime University (RMU) in Ghana, Jiangsu Maritime Institute (JMI) in China, KIMFT (Korean Institute of Maritime and Fisheries) and WIMA (Women in Maritime Association) in Korea on behalf of the Korea Maritime & Ocean University (Busan) and the Mokpo National Maritime University with a special focus on empowering female students. With these additions, our network now spans to 9 partners worldwide. BSM is actively exploring additional partnerships to further expand the Smart Academy footprint and create more opportunities for aspiring maritime professionals worldwide.

BSM Smart Academy is strengthening its position in maritime education sector through new global collaborations designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical training. By integrating industry expertise with educational knowledge, the programme equips Nautical, Technical and Electrical undergraduates with the capabilities they need to succeed and advance in today’s dynamic and fast-changing shipping landscape.

BSM Smart Academy continues to grow with the successful onboarding of the 2025 student intake and steady progress from our inaugural batch. While the new cohort is still at the beginning of its journey, the first batch is already gaining hands-on experience at sea and engaging in expert-led online sessions.
