This premier global event brought together over 120 professionals from the offshore and maritime sectors, including experts in offshore wind, oil and gas, marine engineering, and vessel design.

Representing BSM, Daniel Flato—Company DP Authority at BSM Deutschland—delivered a presentation titled “Reducing GHG Emissions in Dynamic Positioning: Leveraging People and Procedures for Efficient Closed Bus Tie Operations.” Drawing on operational insights from BSM Deutschland’s management of a specialized DP fleet, the presentation emphasized the critical role of human factors in achieving energy efficiency and emissions reduction.

The presentation's key themes included the impact of procedural discipline, targeted training, and operator empowerment in enhancing vessel performance in complex offshore environments. BSM’s active participation in the GHG panel discussions and networking sessions further underscored its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and leadership in offshore dynamic positioning.

Looking ahead, BSM plans to expand its footprint in the offshore energy sector, with a focus on supporting the global transition to greener marine operations. This includes investing in hybrid and alternative fuel technologies, enhancing digital tools for DP performance monitoring, and strengthening crew training programs tailored to the evolving demands of offshore operations.
